Jamie Keeps Producing

Putting child production on hold for a while (will he stick at 2?) Jamie Newall has returned to his second love ( or is it his first?) and has taken 3 wins from 3 starts in this winter's Cyclo-Cross campaign.

After winning his season opener on 26th Oct at Chainhurst, Kent.

Jamie followed up last week with a clear victory in round 8 of the London League at Lydden Hill, finshing over a minute clear of the next contender.

Then last weekend it was a switch to try out the Wessex League event at Basingstoke and tougher competition in the form of Tim Dunford. After a race long battle, where the lead was switching between Jamie and Tim throughout, Jamie finally broke clear with only yards to go and took the win.

Jamie says next stop is the South East Champs on Dec 7th at Wilmington in Kent - where he is hoping to retain the title he won last year.

He has also entered the National Trophy event on 14th December at Oakham in Leicestershire, which will be the one and only he does this this year due to family commitments. (bottle feeding, nappy changing, dog walking, bike selling etc.)

Jamie says he was just outside the top 10 in National events last season - so a top 15 would be a good day.

Bring on the mud and rain - helpers would be much appreciated for the Divs on 7th December. Jamie says he can provide wellies & coats, but would prefer bikini-clad babes who enjoy getting a bit dirty to help operate his powerful jetwash.
- auditions to be held at the club dinner on Friday!!!

For anyone in the club who fancies a local try out at the sport of kings, there is a London league event being held at Dunsfold Airfield on Decmber 21st. Nice and flat.
