For those of you who don't know, after her impressive Surrey League topping start to the season Bernie Hards has been recruited to the Maxgear women's team, picking up her second cat along the way. After finishing 9th and 10th in the two day at Bedford, Bernie lined up in Straiton, Scotland for the next in the women's national road race series.
Adapting quickly to this level of racing (they have radios n everything) Bernie managed to put in her share of teamwork plus get away at one point before being pulled back. In the final 5 mile uphil drag to the finish Bernie got her positioning right and was just pipped on the line to come in 4th. This puts her an impressive 8th in the series overall.
