RACE REPORT (from Jamie)
Wednesday night looked like a club run.
How many VCM riders? – unbelievable – what a chance for some spoils in the 3/4 and E12.
Good old Terry Morgan stepped up to be commisaire with Craig having sterling help from Lorraine Day doing her sweeper role- (she is a star)

The 3rd and 4ths race was won by our very own Sprinter Nick "50€" Allen with "a shaky last bend due to Chris Day deciding to lay on the floor, and then a straight forward power sprint up the finishing straight.- JOB DONE “ Well done Nicky boy – Majorca was not all Sun, Sea and Sangria.

The E12 race rolled off & we were lucky to have a quality field including the VCM rejects of Justin Hoy, Tim Elverson and John Wager riding for a unknown bike brand, while the mighty VCM had Duncan Hards, Ben Macland, Dave Larcombe, Warren Jesse, Dave Creeggan, Pete Wager and Jamie Newall. The race was split quite quickly by a few usual suspects -
A 9 man break formed of Dave Larcombe ,Jamie, Dave Creeggan, Lewis Atkins, Agisko + Chris Minter and Adrian Lansley from Pedal on., Tom Smith from AW Cycles and the mighty twosome of Tim Evelson and John Wager from Felt.

The group contained all the big hitters - a couple of absentees of Warren and Duncan and Juzy Hoy were left behind, “gotta be in it to win it”

First Jamie then Dave Creeggan attacks but this group of 9 was not going to split up and the bunch sprint was on the cards.
All great corning specialists, who was going to come out of that last bend?
Chris Minter led into the bend with everyone else fighting for the wheel,
John Wager went right over the top and powered up the finishing straight.
Can we catch him? – no chance with that tail wind and those deep section wheels.
A great sprint for the other places – Jamie just missing out to Tom Smith for 2nd.
While a solid performance from Dave Creeggan in 7th and the Dave rolling over for 9th

Juzy Hoy brought the laughing group home in 10th Place

Top night and only just over an hour that’s a good workout – not too dull – VCM WIN in both races next week, train hard!!
